Bitcoin’s market experienced wild fluctuations after US President Donald Trump announced early in the month tariffs for 185 countries. BTC dropped to $74,000, losing nearly $13,000 of value. It entered trading in April at an $87,000 level. On Wednesday, the leading cryptocurrency hovers around $77300 and has lost more than 2 percent in the charts.

According to the report, the price rise is due to a gradual accumulation of Bitcoin by major institutional investors. Tracy JinWatcher Guru spoke with the Chief Operating Officer (COO) of MEXC, a cryptocurrency exchange. Jin said that institutional investors buy the BTC dips and accumulate the asset with every correction of the market.

Its price was able to remain stable despite the Dow Jones plummeting nearly 2000 points Monday. Bitcoin has a new resistance as funds are poured into the market by institutional investors at times of weakness. “Institutional investors are quietly buying Bitcoin during sharp market corrections. A signal that the asset is becoming an increasingly important part of a balanced portfolio,” Jin.

She continued, “Despite warnings of a potential 20% drop, leading institutional voices have remained optimistic. Concerns over a possible recession and persistent inflation are reinforcing long-term interest in Bitcoin. Forecasts for 2025 still point toward six-figure price targets,” She said. She said.

Trump’s tariffs echo concerns about a possible recession or market crash, which could lead to job losses in the trillions. “While retail traders rushed to the exits, major institutional players struck a different tone. BlackRock, for instance, acknowledged the possibility of a 20% correction but framed it as a buying opportunity, not a reason to offload a valuable asset. This perspective aligns with a broader institutional belief that the current macro stress is part of a cycle, not a crisis,” She has summarized her thoughts.
