Bitmain, the top Bitcoin-mining ASIC manufacturer in the world, will reportedly open its first US-based production plant soon.
Bloomberg reports that the Tuesday report is accurate reportBitmain will open its US ASIC facility within the next few months. Bitmain also plans to move its headquarters from Texas or Florida in the last quarter of 2025.
Irene Gao from Bitmain, the global chief of business, said to Bloomberg that full-scale production will begin by 2026. She explained that the goal is to reduce delivery times and improve repair services for US-based clients.
Gao has also called out the United States for pushing Bitcoin dominance “a unique opportunity,” Bitmain has announced that it plans to employ 250 local employees in its first phase. The roles include manufacturing, facility maintenance and training.
Cointelegraph contacted Bitmain for comment, but the company did not respond immediately.

Bitmain shares a great company
The news follows mid-June reports that Bitmain, Canaan and MicroBT — which collectively produce most of the world’s Bitcoin mining ASICs — are bringing production to the US in response to the hefty reciprocal tariffs imposed on China Trump’s administration is pivoting in a more favorable direction with regard to crypto policies.

The US regulators have a solution
Bitmain could also resolve its past problems with US authorities by producing in the US. In late November 2024 the US Customs and Border Protection Agency stopped the production of Bitmain’s cryptocurrency. delivery of thousands of Bitmain ASICs.
This seizure follows an investigation conducted by US authorities in October into Chinese chip designer Xiamen Sophgo over an alleged business relationship Huawei is a US sanctioned firm. US authorities are also taking action against Bitmain because the chip designer supports Bitmain ASIC’s business. Authorities have started releasing the hardware in March.
