Stripe has announced that it will support USDC settlements on Ethereum.ETH), Solana (SOLPolygon, and PolygonPOL) blockchains.

The crypto-on-Stripe platform is back in full force!
- You can accept stablecoins in 150+ countries
- USDC is the currency of payment (via Ethereum Solana Polygon).

- Work with payment, checkout elements or intents.
This is being rolled out today to hundreds of thousand of US businesses (then other countries).
The Stripe payment system supports Bitcoin payments (BTC) until 2018. The company discontinued their support of the leading crypto-asset by market capital in April, that year. They cited its low utility as a means of payment.
Stripe has a dedicated website that explains the Pay with Crypto feature. allows Merchants can accept digital assets as a way to settle their fiat accounts without the need to convert or hold the crypto assets.
“Pay with Crypto lets you accept stablecoin payments that settle as fiat in your Stripe balance. You can accept USDC payments on Ethereum, Solana, and Polygon without the complexity of holding or converting crypto to fiat yourself. We charge 1.5% of the transaction amount.”
John Collison, co-founder of Stripe and its president, was in April. announced Stripe will begin accepting USDC payments during the summer.
