Sony’s Soneium is now officially available on the mainnet, providing creators with faster and more affordable blockchain solutions, as well as tools that allow them to communicate directly with fans using NFTs, crypto and other forms of communication.
The 14th of January is a day to celebrate. Sony built on the success of its 2024 testnet, Soneium Minato—which has attracted over 15 million wallets and 50 million transactions—by launching Soneium – a blockchain mainnet which helps musicians connect with their fans more directly.
Sony announced S.BLOX which revolutionizes the way people trade cryptocurrency. They also teased a NFT-based fan marketing platform that will arrive early in 2025.
S.BLOX offers users an easy way to obtain crypto assets that can be used in web3 applications. S.BLOX will reward new users Bitcoin to mark the launch of its exchange.BTCGhost in the Shell and NFT have announced that they will be collaborating on a future NFT Campaign.
The NFT-based Fan Marketing Platform is set to be launched in February 2025 and simplifies NFT issuers’ metrics. It also integrates web-based wallets, with options for social login. It also offers creators the tools they need to interact with their audience using NFT based projects.
Developers and Creators can migrate from the Testnet to the Mainnet. They will be able to unlock applications like fan-driven communities events and cryptocurrency payment in apps.
Soneium acts as layer-2 for Ethereum.ETH), building a network on top of the existing ETH layer-1 and handling data processing, solving issues such as slow data processing speed and increased fees that occur in layer-1.
You can also leverage Optimism by using a combination of Optimism and Gratitude (OPSoneium, a blockchain stack created by Optimism Foundation and Soneium, is scalable, compatible with EVM, and friendly to developers.
In addition, Sony Block Solutions Labs will be established in 2024. partnered Soneium worked with Startale Group on Web3 infrastructure. This was the first step in laying the foundation for Soneium’s mainnet.
