Ripple, in an effort to promote blockchain technology in Asia has created a new grant programme tied to the XRP Ledger that will be awarded for Web3 startups at early stages in Japan. The grant project, named ‘Web3 Salon’, is backed by the Japan External Trade Organization (JETRO) and handled by the Asia Web3 Alliance Japan. Ripple’s project aims at boosting innovation in digital payments, decentralized finances, and tokenized assets.
Ripple Grant Program in Asia: A Detailed Overview
Ripple is offering each startup the chance to win a grant worth up to $200,000 over the course of the following year. This is part of Ripple’s XRPL Japan and Korea Fund. Ripple promised $1 billion to help XRP with financial and technological support.
Companies selected for the program are chosen based on their high growth rate, technology and alignment with Ripple’s investment goals. Ripple has a large network that includes clients, experts and partners. Ripple ensures each grant follows its regional strategy and aims.
In addition, it aims to bring more Japanese businesses and organizations into the Web3 world. In this way, the alliance will be able to achieve its goal. Web3 Salon will work with Ripple to host the events that help entrepreneurs connect with key people from the tech and financial sectors.
