Kamala Harris announced She is today “supporting a regulatory framework for cryptocurrency and other digital assets so Black men who invest in and own these assets are protected.”
Harris has a race-based crypto policy, not just clickbait.
This is an enormous mistake, as a Bitcoiner. It shows Harris has no understanding of Bitcoin. A network that allows everyone to access it, regardless of their race, colour, or creed.
Harris and Democrats has been touting their selves as “anti-racist,” While labeling those who challenge them and their opponents as racist. Kamala has extended that policy in this case to the crypto community, showing favoritism for a certain demographic.
Imagine Trump announcing that he would work to create policies which will benefit the white crypto industry. It would cause a media uproar. Trump does not discriminate against any race. His pro-Bitcoin policy is for ALL Americans.
Trump has a much better approach to Bitcoin than Harris’ based on this alone: He provides specifics about how he intends to promote innovation and growth in the industry, as well as highlighting its benefits for all.
Harris’ new speech is nothing but a ploy to win votes for one particular group, at the expense of losing those she excludes. Anyone who tells themselves that they are not lying is lying.
Question: Do you think Harris’s policy will allow Black Americans to easily access Bitcoin or own Bitcoins? Are we of the opinion that her administration would make things more difficult for Black Americans to own Bitcoin? Black Bitcoin users will face more difficulties if they are forced to pay higher fees.
The Bitcoin protocol is open-source and available to everyone in the entire world. It does not care what race you are – anyone can use it. Bitcoin voters are urged to go to the voting booths within three weeks so that she doesn’t become President.
