JippiMobile phone augmented reality (AR) game developerThe Bitcoin Conference 2025 will be held in Las Vegas, The Venetian Resort, from May 27 to 29. Inspired by Pokémon GO, the game blends location-based gameplay with financial literacy, aiming to engage over 30,000 attendees by making Bitcoin education fun and accessible.
The app allows players to explore The Venetian grounds and hunt for digital treasures. “Bitcoin Beasts,” Answering Bitcoin trivia will earn you 1000 Satoshis per capture. Jippi research shows that 90% of Gen Z players play mobile games. The game is intended to teach concise lessons about sound money principles. This method aims to make Bitcoin learning intuitive and enjoyable.
“We’re excited to turn Bitcoin education into an adventure,” Oliver Porter, Jippi’s founder and CEO. “Our game meets players where they are, making complex concepts approachable.”
Jippi partnered with six Bitcoin companies—Bitcoin Well, Beyond The Checkout, Bitcoin Trading Cards, Geyser, SHAmoryThen, 21M Communications—to sponsor unique Beasts. Each Beast is linked to a particular location and offers tailored trivia that highlights a sponsor’s missions. Bitcoin Well’s Beast, for example, teaches the importance of wallet security while SHAmory has content that is suitable for all ages. “Jippi’s game is a fresh way to onboard new users,” Adam O’Brien is the CEO of Bitcoin Well.
This game was the result of a long development process, including on-site and university surveys. Jippi won the first prize in PlebLab’s Top Builder competition In March 2025 a hackathon will be held for Bitcoin-based startups. This event is expected to cement its position in the gamification of education.
Jippi can use the opportunity of 30,000 expected attendees to show off AR’s adoption potential for Bitcoin. The Venetian will be transformed into an interactive learning center, in which players are encouraged to learn about Bitcoin and explore the real world applications. Jippi wants to continue expanding the game after conference, by adding educational content.
