Dencun Introduces EIP4844 in Ethereum – What Does It Mean?

EIP 4844’s main goal is to reduce layer-2 transaction through blob transactions. The proposal is the basis for Blob inscriptions.
If widely adopted, this solution could be a viable alternative to roll-up platforms. This will be the case when users who transact large amounts of data see the benefits of blob inscribing.
The roll-up will still have some distinct advantages over the blob. Roll-ups are scalable to a greater extent. These solutions are able to process more transactions per second. They are also secure, as they inherit the security of the Ethereum mainnet.

EIP-4844’s impact will not be fully measured until Dencun has been implemented. Overall, Ethereum and layer-2 are thrilled for the upgrade, expecting it will push ETH even further in the current bull market.
