Coinbase and global payment provider Klarna have teamed up to offer a stablecoin-based funding option, which allows users to add more funds to their Coinbase account.

This integration allows consumers to have more flexibility and choice at checkout. They can use their stablecoins to trade, invest or send money without having to make a separate card or bank payment.
Says Klarna chief financial officer Niclas Neglén,
“Stablecoin connects us to an entirely new class of institutional investors, and gives us the potential to diversify our funding sources in ways that simply weren’t possible a few years ago. This is just the beginning of how digital assets can work alongside our traditional funding sources.”
