CleanSpark, a Nasdaq listed Bitcoin mining firm, is seeking capital to expand mining and data centers operations as miners shift their focus towards artificial intelligence infrastructure (AI).

CleanSpark announced The company announced a Senior Convertible Note Offering of $1.15 Billion on Tuesday to raise capital to expand the Bitcoin business.BTC( Mining Operations)

According to the miner, it expects net proceeds of approximately $1.13billion or about $1.28billion if all initial buyers exercise their options for additional convertible notes. The closing date of the offering, subject to satisfying all terms and conditions is set for Nov. 13.

Cleanspark will repurchase $460 million in common stock. The remaining proceeds will go to expanding the power and land portfolio of the company, developing data center infrastructure, paying off its outstanding debt, etc. Bitcoin-backed credit Balances and general corporate expenditure are covered.

CleanSpark will buy back its convertible note investors’ common stock in “privately negotiated transactions” At a price per share of $15.00 or at the Nasdaq close price for Monday.

The AI Data Center Infrastructure is expanding to include Bitcoin mining companies
