The analyst who is closely watched believes that Bitcoin will be surpassed by altcoins.BTC).
Ali Martinez told 72,200 of his followers on social media platform X he is keeping a keen eye on TOTAL3, which measures the value of all digital currencies excluding Bitcoin (ETH() and stablecoins.
A chart shared by the trader suggests that TOTAL will soon experience a large surge to the upside.
“The altcoin market cap looks primed to surpass $1 trillion… It is just a matter of time before altcoin season!”
As of the time this article was written, TOTAL3’s market value is $603.371 billion.
The trader keeps an eye out on the Bitcoin Dominance chart (BTC.D), which measures the Bitcoin Market Cap against other crypto. Martinez says that BTC.D shows a sign of hope for altcoins.
“Bitcoin dominance seems to be topping out, hinting at a possible dip to 47% – setting the stage for an altcoin season!”
BTC.D bearish may mean that altcoins have risen in value quicker than Bitcoin.
BTC.D hovers around 57.48% at the time of this writing.
