Solana flipping Ethereum: Why the buzz?
Anthony Scaramucci, Skybridge Capital’s Anthony Scaramucci recently expressed a different opinion. He stated that he believed Solana had the ability to turn Ethereum around. Scaramucci cited Solana’s rapid transaction output and its growing usage to explain why he thinks Solana can turn things around in the future.
“Well, I think it will flip Ethereum. That doesn’t mean Ethereum is going down or anything like that. I think there’s going to be market share for Ethereum. I think they can both grow.… But to me, I just think that it is the fastest-growing chain. It has more activity than, like, the top 50 chains combined. It’s got lots of use cases and lots of versatility. It’s easy to develop on. And it’s very low fees to transact on. And it’s got great tokenomics if you want to stake your Solana like I do. Or if you want to buy BSOL, which is a staking ETF. So, there are so many different things that make me believe that it will flip Ethereum.”
Solana revenues continue to rise
Solana is continuing to gain profits despite recent low cryptocurrency activity. According to a blog post from CryptoRUs, Solana earned nearly $1.5 billion in revenue for its network last year. “low-fee, high-transactional-output chain model.”
